Getting a cryptic error code on your IPTV app is frustrating — especially when you don't know what it means. This is the most complete reference list of streaming and IPTV error codes, what causes each one, and exactly how to fix it.

Error 401 — Unauthorized High
Authentication Failed / Wrong Credentials
Your username or password is incorrect, or your subscription has expired. This is the most common error after a password reset or plan renewal.
Fix: Double-check your credentials in the app settings. Re-enter the Server URL, username and password exactly as provided — no extra spaces. If expired, renew your subscription and re-login.
Error 403 — Forbidden High
Access Denied / Subscription Inactive
Your account exists but does not have permission to access the requested stream. Usually caused by an expired plan, a simultaneous connection limit exceeded, or IP-based blocking.
Fix: Verify your subscription is active. Ensure only one device is connected at a time. If you share the account, disconnect other devices. Contact support if the error persists with a valid subscription.
Authentication Failed High
Login Rejected by Server
The app cannot verify your identity with the server. Caused by incorrect credentials, a wrong server URL (http vs https), or a typo in the username field.
Fix: Delete the existing account in your IPTV app and re-add it manually. Copy-paste your credentials directly from the welcome email to avoid typos. Confirm whether your server URL starts with http:// or https://.
Login Error — Max Connections Medium
Too Many Active Sessions
Your subscription only allows one simultaneous connection and another device is already logged in and active — even if it looks idle.
Fix: Fully close the IPTV app on all other devices (not just standby — force-close it). Wait 2–3 minutes and try again. Contact support to reset active sessions if the issue persists.
Playback Failed High
Stream Cannot Be Loaded
The player cannot initiate playback. Can be caused by an unsupported codec, a broken stream link, insufficient device RAM, or a server-side issue with that specific channel.
Fix: Try a different channel first to isolate if it's one channel or all. Clear the app cache. Switch to a hardware decoder in player settings. If only one channel fails, try its alternate stream link.
Playback Error — Source Not Found Medium
Stream URL Is Unavailable
The stream link has changed or temporarily gone offline. This is common during scheduled maintenance or when a broadcaster changes their CDN address.
Fix: Refresh your channel list (pull-to-refresh in the app or re-login). Wait 5–10 minutes and try again. Contact your IPTV provider if the channel remains unavailable after 30 minutes.
Error — No Playable Sources Found Medium
Codec / Format Not Supported
Your device or player cannot decode the stream format. Common with HEVC/H.265 streams on older devices or players without hardware decoding support.
Fix: Enable Hardware Decoding in player settings. If using IBOplayer, go to Settings → Player → Decoder → Hardware. Try switching to an H.264 version of the channel if available.
Parser Error Medium
Playlist File Cannot Be Read
The app cannot parse your M3U playlist or Xtream Codes response. Usually caused by a corrupted playlist file, a wrong server URL format, or special characters in the credentials.
Fix: Delete the playlist and re-add it. If using M3U, re-download the file from your provider. If using Xtream Codes, verify the server URL has no trailing slash. Avoid special characters in passwords.
Error — Connection Timeout Medium
Server Did Not Respond in Time
Your device tried to reach the IPTV server but received no response within the timeout window. Caused by slow internet, ISP routing issues, or a temporarily overloaded server.
Fix: Check your internet connection. Restart your router. Try changing DNS to 1.1.1.1. If it happens only on specific channels during peak hours, contact support to switch to a less loaded server node.
Error 503 — Service Unavailable Medium
Server Temporarily Overloaded
The server is under too much load to handle your request. Common during major live events like European club football finals or major tournaments matches when traffic spikes dramatically.
Fix: Wait 2–5 minutes and retry. Try an alternate stream link for the same channel. Contact your provider — they can redirect you to a backup server with available capacity.
Error — Network Error / No Internet Low
Device Has No Network Access
Your streaming device lost its network connection. This can happen when a Wi-Fi signal drops, a router reboots, or a DHCP lease expires.
Fix: Check Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection on your device. Restart the device. If Wi-Fi shows connected but no internet, forget the network and reconnect. Consider using Ethernet for a stable connection.
App Crash on Channel Open High
Application Closes Unexpectedly
The app runs out of RAM, encounters a corrupted file, or tries to decode a stream format that causes an exception. More common on older Firestick and Android TV models.
Fix: Clear app cache and data. Close all background apps. Uninstall and reinstall the IPTV app. If crash occurs only on 4K streams, lower quality in player settings or enable hardware decoding.
EPG / Guide Not Loading Low
Electronic Programme Guide Empty
The EPG URL is not configured, has expired, or the guide data server is temporarily unavailable. Does not affect stream playback.
Fix: In IBOplayer, go to Settings → EPG and re-enter your EPG URL. Force-refresh the guide. If no EPG URL was provided, contact your IPTV provider to request one.
Black Screen — Audio Only Medium
Video Decoder Cannot Render Picture
The stream's video codec is not supported by the player in software mode. HEVC/H.265 streams frequently cause this on devices without hardware decoding enabled.
Fix: Enable Hardware Decoding in player settings. In IBOplayer: Settings → Player → Decoder → Hardware. If the issue remains, try opening the stream in VLC or another player to confirm the source is working.
